Nolan P. Benner, Jr.

Nolan P. Benner, Jr.

Nolan P. Benner's work is collected by museums, corporations, and private collectors worldwide. A student of the Pennsylvania Impressionist, Walter E. Baum, Benner produced great numbers of landscape paintings and still lifes in the tradition of the Pennsylvania Impressionists and the great color theorists, C. Morley Fletcher and Myron Barnstone.

Frank Lind

Frank Lind

A master of seascape for decades, Frank Lind has demonstrated his command of the art of painting in many of his compositions. The works included in this exhibition refer to his history with the subject matter and to his roots in New England and New York. A highly respected teacher and dean of the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, Lind's paintings are the focus of the seascapes within this exhibition.

Gregg Smith

Gregg Smith

A Lehigh Valley native, Gregg Smith now lives in New York City and shows his expressive landscape compositions in various venues in the Big Apple. This work, in his characteristic framed style, shows Smith's command of thickly applied pigment and his dramatic and dynamic handling. A great advocate of the New Hope School, Smith paints the landscape with vigor.

Joseph Crilley

Crilley has inspired a generation of artists with his sharp handling of color and brushwork. Photography was Crilley's first introduction to the visual arts but his paintings are his true love. His palette conveys the tonality of the New Hope Impressionists and his scenes are familiar to most Bucks County residents and visitors.

George Bramhall

New Hope-Solebury resident, George Bramhall came to painting after a career in business. His works demonstrate a strong connection and relationship with the landscape of Bucks County and its hidden treasures like the small brooks and streams where fishing is all that matters or the quiet farmsteads where harvest time is the only busy time.
