Exhibition Catalogue:

Masterpiece Technologies Inc. will host the exhibition featuring the sculpture of Mark Wonsidler. This exhibition, New Objects by Mark Wonsidler will be on display in our New Hope, PA gallery from March 3 through March 31, 2000.

This art exhibition and sale features new trends in contemporary sculpture. Wonsidler transforms various objects and materials (pinecones, balls of yarn, milk cartons, books, etc.) into delicate sculpture which explore questions of human scale. The new found-object sculptures refer to a wide range of contexts--literary prose, philosophical discoure, grammatical structure--all of which demonstrate the varied interests and intellectual development of Wonsidler's art. His formal language quietly dazzles the senses while the work questions the role of beauty in contemporary sculpture. The found forms and the artist's subtle adjustments are informed. The tactile quality of each piece attracts the senses sparking a dialogue about the precious as well as the pathetic. You may view Wonsidler's portfolio here.
