May 2000 Exhibition Impressions of Spring May 5 - May 31, 2000 View Masterpiece Technologies Inc.'s current exhibition schedule.
Exhibition Catalogue: In celebration of the coming of spring, Masterpiece Technologies Inc. presents this stunning exhibition which focuses on works inspired by nature and the season. Along with local landscape scenes of springtime in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the abstract work of Jeanne Wilkinson is also featured. Wilkinson is a graduate of the prestigious Pratt Institute in New York City and holds a Masters of Fine Art in Painting. She recently participated in an exhibition which focused on works by women artists and celebrated women's history in the year 2000. Her recent work consists of modular, square paintings which are inspired by nature and its forms. Wilkinson encourages gallery visitors to arrange her paintings to form your own multi-panel piece. Each work by Jeanne Wilkinson may be displayed individually or combined with other works by Wilkinson to create an interesting group of paintings. View Wilkinson's portfolio here. This exhibition, Impressions of Spring, will be on display in our New Hope, PA gallery from May 5 through May 31, 2000.
A student of the Pennsylvania Impressionist, Walter Baum and others of his circle, the regional painter, Nolan P. Benner Jr. enjoyed widespread popularity and critical acclaim for his paintings of Bucks and Lehigh counties in Pennsylvania. The beautiful color palette and the delicate brushwork employed by Benner shows his technical excellence and artistic prowess. Benner's work captures the placid hilly landscape scene and provides an engaging composition and picture of this beautiful region. You may view Benner's portfolio here.
The artistic excellence and broad-based popularity of Walter Baum's work is widely recognized in the scope of Pennsylvania Impressionism and the history of New Hope School painting. Baum's long and prolific career resulted in the production of many exceptional paintings and the nurturing of prominent students. Baum's landscape compositions, particularly his early pieces from the 1920s like The Little Stone House capture the quite roads of Bucks county and show Baum's mastery of the medium. It is rare that such an early Baum masterwork, in his characteristic style, becomes available directly from the private collector who purchased the work directly from artist himself in 1925.
