Vincent Romaniello Vincent Romaniello from Willow Grove, PA displays his work in this exhibition after receiving critical acclaim and rewards throughout the Commonwealth. Romaniello studied at New York's School of the Visual Arts and the New York Academy of Art as well as The Academy of Art College in San Francisco, CA. He brought his art education and experience back to Pennsylvania and has been featured in several juried shows such as the recent show at the Main Line Art Center called The Changing Landscape. He participated in the Biannual Juried Show at the Allentown Art Museum and was awarded First Prize in Painting by the Harrisburg Arts Council at the Art of the State Exhibition at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. The prize winning work, Abraham, can be seen above and at the galleries in New Hope, PA. Romaniello has exhibited his work throughout the United States. His work will be featured in the upcoming traveling exhibition, Realism to Non-Objectivity: Contemporary Art from New York to Philadelphia hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Stout and curated by Dr. Lori. In Romaniello's painting, process, shares the spotlight with context. His Fluidity series focuses on the importance of fluids, including but not limited to paint, in the world today. Romaniello notes that the 20th century has come to an end with "fluids making history." State of the art medicines, liquids used for cloning, DNA tests, O.J.'s bloody glove, and even Lewinsky's stained Gap dress have all impacted contemporary society. Romaniello's art, like all fine work, reflects society as he offers non-objective and abstract works based on the topic.
Nolan P. Benner, Jr. was a resident of Allentown, PA and a student of another noted Pennsylvania painter and participant in this exhibit, Walter Emerson Baum. Benner enjoyed critical acclaim for his landscapes of northeastern Pennsylvania's Bucks and Lehigh counties. The breathtaking palette and the confident brushwork of Benner shows his technical excellence and creativity. Benner's work captures the placid scenes of this area and engages the viewer via color and composition. You may view Benner's portfolio here.
John David Wissler, a graduate of the Parsons School of Design, studied with contemporary landscape painter, Paul Resika. Wissler's works demonstrate the Lancaster County, PA native's interest in the history of art, the handling of pigment, and the emotion inspired by studying nature and its many forms. His works are included in Simply, the Best... based on the fresh approach to his landscape compositions as well as his captivating still lifes.
