Pennsylvania Impressionists tour at the James A. Michener Art Museum

Join our Guest Book to learn about upcoming tours.

Following the tradition of the French Impressionists before them, Pennsylvania Impressionists such as Walter Emerson Baum, Edward Redfield, and Daniel Garber painted the landscape of Pennsylvania in a style that is still popular today. Many of these artists taught classes at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts during the school year while spending their summers in New Hope, PA. This tour will focus on the works of these artists as well as others in the current exhibition at the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, PA.
