Why Appraisal Gift
Certificates make great gifts
The appraisal gift certificate may be just the gift for
the person who REALLY has everything! Maybe you live with or know
someone who has accumulated all of this stuff and ... well, there is a
dispute to whether it is worth keeping or if it is just collecting
dust? Instead of buying them another object as a gift and adding to
the clutter, an appraisal gift certificate may help them "declutterize".
Or maybe your parents are downsizing and you and your siblings are
"discussing" who gets what when Mom and Dad move into their
retirement home? Mom and Dad have that one ugly vase that no one wants, but you're afraid to throw it away because ... what if it is worth
something?
Purchasing an appraisal gift
certificate and finding out what these things are worth may help end your
friendly "discussions" about that particular lamp or make sure
you are not placing expensive items on the curb to be taken away.
Plus, everyone can be present when the gift certificate is redeemed which
can add to the surprise (or disappointment) when certain objects are
appraised. If you have attended one of Dr. Lori's What's
it Worth? with Dr. Lori programs, you know what to expect.

certificate for that special someone.
What is an
appraisal?
An appraisal is an informed opinion of value (monetary,
cultural, historical, etc.). As with all opinions, its validity
depends on the expertise, experience, and educational background of the person providing
it. Additionally, the opinion must be independent with the appraiser
having no interest in the value (monetary,
cultural, historical, etc.) of the item being appraised.

curator Dr. Lori's background here.

How does someone
redeem their Gift Certificate?
If someone has purchased an appraisal gift certificate
for you, you can redeem it by contacting us here at
Masterpiece Technologies Inc. and providing us with the number on the certificate that was presented to
you.
You may contact us by email or by phone at
(888) 431-1010 to make an appointment with our director and certified appraiser Dr. Lori. At the time of the scheduled appointment, Dr.
Lori will travel to the recipient's home or place of business to provide verbal appraisal services for the stated number of hours indicated on the appraisal gift certificate.
All items (fine art, antiques, collectibles, etc.) to be appraised should be presented in an orderly manner with appropriate lighting. Travel expenses
will be determined before payment information is processed for the gift

information is noted on the information you received. Generally, travel expenses within the suburban
Pennsylvania and New Jersey region are included
free of charge. (some restrictions may apply). Read more here.
