Romare Bearden’s works are collected and exhibited throughout major museums and private collections worldwide.

Bearden was best known for his collages, graphic designs and colorful images. Subjects include genre scenes of the Jazz Age, city scenes of the 1930s and 1940s, as well as the lively arts centers of New Orleans, Memphis, and New York City.

This work was printed after the artist’s death and is a numbered print, dated by the printer, and published by the Guggenheim Museum. Jazz is a serigraph and collage on paper based on Bearden’s favorite subject, the musicians of the American Jazz era.
